Murudeshwar is a very beautiful place situated in Karnataka. It is located at about 200 km (approximately) from the city of Mangalore. The temple of lord murdeshwar is situated in a very small mountain amidst the sea. The main attraction is the largest Shiva statue that is about 123 feet high.
Another main attraction is - devastana rooms are built a few feet inside the sea and these rooms are available at a very reasonble fare.
Other places nearby Mangalore city worth visiting are Udipi Krishna Mutt, Kollur Mookambika temple, Dharmastala, Gokarna, Subramanya etc. The travel will be along the back waters of Arabian Sea.
